Preliminary Consultation

Our interaction with you may begin with a phone consultation as to whether or not PET is appropriate for your patient. To reach a Hopkins PET specialist, call 410-614-3764. To reach a Hopkins physician any time, any day with one phone call, use the Hopkins Access Line (HAL) at 410-955-9444 in Baltimore or toll-free at 1-800-765-JHHS (5447).

Timely Communication

  • A clinical PET fellow will call within 24 hours of your patient's scan with topline results.

  • The attending physician will send a preliminary report by phone or fax the following morning.

  • Within two to three days, the written report is mailed.

One phone number connects you directly with our scheduling office: 866-JHU 4 PET. A time slot can be reserved and the paperwork faxed to you in advance so that your patient will have a minimal wait upon arrival. Completed requisition forms should be faxed to 410-614-3896.
