PET Case Study - RML Mass (Lung Cancer)

History
A 73-year-old male with a mass in the middle lobe of his right lung. CT showed Rt pleural effusion, a right lung mass and Rt hilar adenopathy. Pathology was equivocal.

Findings
Focal increased tracer uptake in the right lung mass, the right hilum and the mediastinum. This is consistent with tumor. Focal mediastinal and paratracheal lymph nodes, mild right posterior pleural activity and focal T12 to L1 metastases were seen on other views. Normal tracer activity is seen in heart and bladder.

Diagnosis
Primary lung adenocarcinoma with metastases
