History
A 42-year-old female with a history of colon cancer had elevated
serum CEA levels. A CT scan was negative.
Findings
FDG PET localized a recurrent tumor superior to the bladder. Normal
tracer uptake is seen in the heart and ureter/bladder region.
Diagnosis
Recurrent metastatic disease in the pelvis
Surgical Exploration
Adenocarcinoma of the colon
